Initial and Follow-Up Appointments

To schedule an appointment, please call the office. In order to hold a time for both initial and follow up appointments, we ask that a credit card be left on file. The card will not be charged at that time, and other payment arrangements can be made upon arrival.

A charge to the credit/debit card will ONLY be made should you not show up to your appointment, or cancel your appointment with less than 48 business hours notice.  Please be reminded that we do not double-book or overbook, and appointment times are reserved exclusively for you. Barring emergencies, we will be ready to see you at your scheduled time.  Please refer to the Credit Card Policy Form for additional information.

All patients will receive an email reminder 1 week prior to a scheduled appointment. This email reminder is contingent on providing our office with a valid email address.

If a scheduled appointment needs to be changed, please notify the office at least 48 business hours prior to your scheduled appointment. There is a charge for appointments missed or canceled with less than 48 business hours notice.  Please be reminded that we do not double-book and your appointment time is reserved for you exclusively. Should you not attend or give notice, our providers are unable to make use of that time for others in need of care.
For additional information, please reference our General Office Policies.
Refill Requests Outside Appointments

It is our policy to give enough medication (including refills) to last until your next required follow up appointment. Regular follow up appointments are to ensure safe and thorough monitoring of symptoms, medications, and their side effects, and are the recommendation of both the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).  Guidelines for time until follow-up (or duration between appointments) are based on diagnoses and treatment provided.

It is your responsibility to remain current with appointments in order to obtain medication prior to running short. Should emergencies arise in which you are unable to follow-up in a timely manner, we may provide enough medication to last until a prompt follow-up appointment is rescheduled.

Our clinicians reserve the right to refuse refilling any medication if they believe it is clinically necessary to evaluate the patient before prescribing that medication.

Also, please be reminded that controlled substances such as stimulant medicaiton (Ritalin, Concerta, Focalin, Adderall, Vyvanse) require written presciptions by law.

Please reference our medication refill policy within the General Office Policies

It is of the utmost importance that information about you, your child, and family, remains absolutely confidential whenever possible.  We work to ensure this, as it is an imperative element in the work of psychotherapy and creating a safe space for change. There are, however, certain instances in which confidentiality must be broken. Please review our Privacy and Confidentiality Policy located in the forms section of this webpage for more details.
